TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

RESERVATIONS, DEPOSIT AND FINAL PAYMENT

Tour deposit is required upon making reservations. Tour confirmation and preliminary information will be issued by CITS USA (hereafter CITS USA ). The following deposit policy will apply:
China tour programs without Yangtze Cruise ---US$100.00 per person
China tour programs with YANGTZE cruise: ---US$200.00 per person
SEAT-IN-COACH (SIC) programs ---US$100.00 per person
China domestic and international air tickets: Full payment required to issue tickets.

For group reservation (10 people or over), CITS USA will send a contract outlining the group deposit, final payment and cancellation details.

The tour deposit is non-refundable, but it will be applied to your future tour booking with CITS USA . In some cases CITS USA will make reservations before deposits are received. However, failure to pay deposit in 7 days will result in cancellation of the tour reservation. Final payment is due 45 days before the commencement of the tour.

PAYMENT METHOD

CITS USA accepts 3 major credit cards (VISA, MASTERCARD and AMERICAN EXPRESS) for international and China domestic airlines tickets, plus China tour payment.

--For China tour payment, you may pay with checks or money orders. Please make check or money order payable to CITS (USA). ---To make payment with your credit cards (AMEX, VISA or MASTERCARD), there is 3.5% service fee on top of the payment. You are required to complete a Credit Card Authorization Form and send back with your signature and credit card copy (both sides).

PASSPORTS AND CHINA VISA . A valid passport with valid China visa are required for trip to China . We are the authorized agent to handle China visa by the Chinese Consulate General and we are glad to help you with China visa applications. CANCELLATIONS

Full refund, less the deposit for any cancellations received in writing up to 60 days prior to departure. Thereafter the following cancellation charges will apply:
---59 to 30 days before departure, 90% of the tour payment is refundable,
---29 to 15 days before departure, 70% of the tour payment is refundable,
---14 ¨C 7 days before departure, 50 % of tour payment is refundable,
---If cancellation is made within 7 day before departure, there is no refund for tour payment.

---Air ticket refund is subject to the rules and regulations of each air carrier. In some cases the air tickets are nun-refundable after ticket is issued. Please check with our office for details. .

CHANGE AND LATE BOOKING FEE
A late booking fee of US$100.00 per person might apply to bookings received within 7 days prior to start of the e tour.

CITS USA might charge US$50.00 per person plus the penalty of air ticket change to any changes made after the booking has been confirmed and final payment is received.

REFUNDS

All claims for refunds must be made through the agent from whom the tour has been purchased within 30 days after termination of the tour. The claim must be accompanied by a statement from the local CITS office or other land operators certifying exactly the services not rendered.

Voluntary non-usage of hotel accommodations, tour services, train and air tickets are not refundable or exchangeable for other accommodations, services or tour features. Refunds will not be made for complimentary accommodations and services provided by the airline.

Travel Insurance and China visa handling fee is non refundable.

TOUR PRICE

Tour price includes land arrangement / services and air / train transportation costs as outlined in our quotations to you. Tour price is quoted in U.S. dollars and based on tariffs and rates of exchange between U.S. dollars and foreign currencies in effect from time to time.

All prices are guaranteed as in the quotations. However, United States departure / arrival airport taxes, Customs fees in effect at time of ticketing and all foreign airport taxes are subject to change without prior notice. CITS USA reserves the right to change those government tax / fees. .

All additional expenses including hotel accommodations, meals and transportation caused by sickness, weather, strikes, wars, civil disturbance, quarantines, alterations in ship, air or railroad services or by any other factor beyond CITS USA's control are the responsibility of the passengers and will be collected on the spot.

LAND ARRANGEMENTS

Cost of land arrangements is based on two persons sharing a twin-bedded room. The single supplement room rate covers all cities on the tour except any involuntary overnight provided by the airlines.

AIR TRANSPORTATION

Air transportation is via, but not limited to those airlines including Air China , China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, United Airlines, Japan Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Korean Air, All Nippon Airlines, Continental Airlines and American Airlines. Fares used for the tours are based on valid published fares and their respective fare rules applicable to the tour program currently in effect. All fares and fare rules are subject to change by the airline.

Air transportation within China is provided by the domestic Chinese carriers. Air fares and tax / fuel surcharge are subject to change and any increase in fare will be added to the tour price and be borne by the passenger.

CITS USA is not to be held responsible for any act or event during the flight when passengers are on board their planes or conveyances. The passenger's contract is between the airline and the passenger. Any and/or all transportation companies herein mentioned shall have or incur no responsibility for liability to any travel aside from their liability as common carrier.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

Deluxe or First Class hotels with private bath as specified in the itinerary will be used. CITS USA reserves the fight to substitute hotels in the same category for those specified in the itinerary in case the specified hotel is sold out or becomes unavailable in some circumstances. All hotel accommodations are on the basis of two persons sharing a twin-bedded room, except when clients have specific requirement in advance and is confirmed by CITS USA .

YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE

Yangtze River cruise inside China is via "VICTORIA CRUISES", "PRESIDENT CRUISES", and "YANGTZE EXPLORER" and other cruise ships. In the event that an assigned cruise boat is not available due to reasons beyond CITS USA 's control, CITS USA reserves the right to substitute it with any other boat that is available.

MEALS

Most of breakfasts are buffet breakfasts at each hotel in China . Most of the lunch / dinners included in the tour package are Chinese food served at local restaurants unless specified differently in the tour confirmations. As specified in the itinerary, voluntary non-usage of meal are non refundable and non exchangeable.

TRANSFERS AND SIGHTSEEING

All transfers and sightseeing are by motorcoach, car or other conveyance. All transfers to and from airports / train stations and hotels will be provided only for tour members who have paid for the CITS services reserved for the group. Sightseeing tours are as described in the tour itineraries. Inside China , sightseeing is restricted to the sightseeing points covered by the tour package price. Additional sightseeing points not covered in the tour package price will incur extra charges on the spot.

TIPS AND GRATUITY

Tipping and gratuity to your tour guides, drivers, hotel bellboys and porters in China . Please contact us for tipping guidelines for China travel. The customary end-of-the-tour gratuity to tour managers (if there is any) is also not included.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

CITS USA reserves the right to cancel any tour when the number of participants falls below ten people, a minimum group requirement. The right is reserved to decline acceptance or retention of any person as a tour participant whose health condition makes him/her physically unfit for long trips due to mental illness, heart disease, serious chronic or contagious illness, physical handicaps, pregnancy, senility or infirmity.

A refund of all payments or unused land payments will constitute the maximum limit of CITS USA 's' liability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

CITS USA¨C the only USA branch of China International Travel Service Limited, Head Office (hereinafter called CITS USA) and its affiliates are acting as agents for the relevant supplier in securing hotels, transportation and other travel services and in no event shall CITS USA be liable for failure by any such supplier to render any transportation, lodging or other travel service to be provided on the tour. Passenger agrees that CITSUSA assumes no liability for injury, death, damages, loss, accident delay or irregularity that may occur by reason of any negligent or willful act or omission of any suppliers of service. CITS USA does not own or operate any of the suppliers of services to your tour. Similarly, without limiting the foregoing reasons, passenger agrees to hold CITS USA harmless for any defect in any vehicle, plane, boat, bus, car, van or other vehicle, act of war or insurrection, terrorist activity, revolt or other civil uprising, military action, strikes or labor unrest or any Act of God or for any other act of any third party. CITS USA does not accept responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in air schedules, hotel over-bookings or other hotel related problems or other causes. All such losses or expenses will be the responsibility of the passenger. The right is reserved to make adjustments to the itinerary as deemed desirable to CITS USA and the right is reserved to cancel any tour prior to departure. CITS USA may not be held responsible for any loss or damage to luggage during the tour program. The acceptance of final documents, vouchers, or tickets shall be deemed to be consent to the above conditions. Prices are based on tariffs in effect as of December 01, 2009 and are subject to adjustment without notice in the event of any change or currency fluctuation.

Any controversy or claim of any kind arising out of or relating to this contract, this brochure, or your trip shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in Pasadena , California in accordance with the American Arbitration Association procedures then in existence.
